let the games begin..

Ok....well i was just doing some figuring.....

This Thursday we will be 8 weeks out from the Arnold....my mini goal weight for this is 108-110....which is about 5-7 pounds in 8 weeks...which should be very doable!

This Saturday i will be 24 weeks out from my next show.....my goal for this show is to be way leaner than i was in November and hopefully i will have more muscle this time!

I have work to do....

As far as my suit goes...i found one that i really like the design of...but the problem now is getting my suit. I am going to talk to Jodi about stoning my suit for me, but as far as buying the suit itself....i need the underwire for support....I wish i didn't but i do...so i dont know what to do...i guess i have to contact CC fitwear or something and see what they can do...

My eating needs to be cleaned up a bit...i keep having my little picks and tastes here and there...and its not like im hungry...is more boredom.....but it has to stop.

I also need to up my cardio a bit.....i am going to aim for an extra 30 minutes 3-4 times a week right now....i want to see how my body responds to that, or if i need to add a day or up it to 45min....

I found a pic of this competitor....i like the way she is lean, but still has definition...keep in mind that she is like 5"7 or something, so of course she is lean, but you get the drift.....I love her shoulders!

So i guess that is all i got....i have to go to Vitamin Shoppe at lunch...im out of some supplements.....

I have to ask Tony if i should start up with the creatine again....i wasn't able to lose any weight while i was on it, so im kind of hesitant to ask him, but if i want some muscles, maybe i need it.....

so here we go.....

Hi Angela

I am in a bulding phase and am barely doing any cardio- was told if i want to build lay off the cardio. Anyway I know everyone has a different way to go about it but I am loving not having to do any. :)

Angela.
In my bulking phase I did no cardio at all and I seem to have gotten some alright muscle mass. I just started doing cardio in my 20 weeks out stage.

I didn't lose any weight either while using my sups (no-explode and super pump) but it def helped build muscle. So I guess it depends on what you want.

To be polite yet honest, most Creatines gain you water weight, and for that one "female" week that could be an issue.

Creatine could help you bulk, but in essence I don't like it for Women because I don't believe it would work that well in most cases.

I used it, and got rubbishy results years ago, and I've known some guys get the same, because most guys need probably 170lb+ mass to get decent bang for the buck as they say.

Women do have issues bulking, but you can improve the bulking thing with a few alterations to diet.

You could increase Supplemental Vit C which might help. You could also increase Zinc and Vitamin E, which help boost Testosterone in small amounts for women, or slightly reduce fibre, which can be a Test blocker to some extent.

Also you might find Mono-unsaturates from things like Nuts, healthy Oils, Fish, and possibly Soy and Flax, might also help.

Although I wouldn't necessarily follow those, what I see as slightly extreme bulk diets, that use a 20% Carb ratio, as I wrote on my site recently, I'd favour more along a 30/40/30, P C F ratio, to help maintain things like digestive health, Bloodsugar levels, etc etc, and to make sure you get a good level of Carbs that will help deliver Protein to muscle, help replace muscle Glycogen after workouts, and promote Insulin responses, which I think a 20% ratio might not do as well as could be.

To me Women can bulk to a good level, without having to use Creatine, and if they want to, potentially as long as the individual isn't, (politely said), having a flare up of the Simplex or Zoster Herpes virus's, could take Arginine as a Pump inducer, (as it stimulates NO production), as Arginine has good effects on things like Wound healing, and lowering Fat deposits into the Liver, additional benefits you will never get off any NO product including those combined with Creatine.

If you needed to strip a bit more Fat, you could potentially increase Protein by about 5g per meal, and decrease Carbs by 5g per meal, which might create a potential carb based energy deficeit, the body would have to satisfy with Fat, but because you'd be maintaining cals, with potyentially no loss of muscle, especially in lieu of the extra Protein.

That could be one way to lower Fat, and plus the Monounsaturates in a bulk style diet, might encourage that as well.

A simple way to alter your diet would be to switch to Omega Eggs, from regular, as you'd get Mono's in the Yolk from the Flax fed to the Chickens, but no loss of nutrients, you should still get the Lutein, Fat soluable Vits etc etc.

Plus the incease Monos would help reduce Blood Cholesterol.

Soy would also be a good choice for such things, as it contains Mono fats, Vit E, and possibly Zinc, plus the Genestein, is like a Lignan, (Phyto-oestrogen), which is like Oestrogen, and binds to receptors, helping to nullify possible effects of excess Oestrogen, like Breast Cancer, so a bit of Soy or Flax for examples would be good choices, although yes Flax does contain a bit of Fibre, as mentioned possible tst blocker you do need some in your diet, but for the possible Lignans, and Mono fats, and maybe Zinc too, could be a good addition to bulking, and help with a bit of Fat loss.

So I think there's good ways to alter training and diet without using Creatine, and I would suggest against it.

Whatever happens though good luck and best wishes. You're doing fine, so chin up, keep looking forward, and no worries.

:-) :-).

I'm working on your suit estimate tonight!!!

You're somewhat lucky in your physique because, like mine, you naturally have thicker legs which barely require ANY weight training to get them athletic looking. We have that natural muscular leg because our legs are short. I'm 5'4" but my legs are the length of a girl that's 5'1" LOL! No joke. HAHAH!!! I got fitted for a suit once, and they all laughed at me because my torso and arms were the length of someone 5'8" and my legs were SO short. Yeah, embarrassing, BUT its kinda good because bodybuilding is tough in some areas but we got our legs covered dont we? HEHEH.

You're shaped lovely, and at least you got some pretty boobs, I DONT HAVE ANY!!! HAHAH!!!

Thanks for contacting me about the suit! I know I can save you $$!

Keep up the good work on that physique and remember the 2nd year of bodybuilding (and the following years) are always better than the first. This will be my 3rd year and it's tons better. Stay tuned to your body, its gonna rock!

Hey girl! Your goals are totally doable and you will achieve them!

I get into the picking and snacking sometimes too and it is always boredom for me. I never really eat out of anger, stress or emotion - usually just bored. Maybe we should start knitting! :)

Can't wait to see progress pics! Hint, hint!
