Where is the sun???

Where oh where is spring???? I need sunshine and warm weather! I am tired of this cold dreary, wet weather!

It sucks so badly going to the gym at 6:30 in the morning in cold darkness!

Anyway...Im getting my hair cut tonight..i can't wait. It is really getting on my nerves. I haven't got it cut since January and all of my layers that i had are gone and its all heavy and long. Not that im taking that much length off, but it needs to be thinned out!

I need clothes so badly. I wanted to go to the mall last night but i got lazy when i got home and didn't feel like moving...and then it started raining so it was definitely out of the question. So, instead i made my chicken and string beans for today and watched stupid American Idol. I really need to learn to cook in bulk more. It would make my life so much easier. Does anyone make their eggs ahead of time? And for how many days? That is one thing that i do every night. The oatmeal, i do every other day cause im afraid its going to get funky.

Today was chest and biceps. I enjoyed pushing myself again but i wonder how long it takes to go up a level? Example...(and dont make fun of my low weight) my high on the incline chest press is 75. I tried to go to up to 85 and i couldn't budge. But i wonder if i didn't do it as my last set, would it have been as hard? I had to do 4 sets....so it was 55, 65, 75, 75. Is that ok? Or should it be something like 55, then try 85, 75, 65? Im not sure.

You've got two options Angela.

You go for a lower weight higher rep, then decrease the weights on each set, and the reps, (Pyramid training).

Or you do the higher weight lower reps, then lower the weight increase the reps, (reverse pyramid training).

If you choose the pyramid system, you could also train to failure, which means instead of a fixed number of reps per weight level, it's boom or bust. So you do the lowest weight, go for as many reps as possible, then increase the weight, and go again.

Even if the last rep feels very intense, and only gets half finished, that's the failure method, where you can't do any more for that set, where you give every last bit of effort, muscle Oxygen etc etc, which you'll get back during the rest beaks.

I also want to say congrats. I know the more I read, the more I can tell how much you give to this, and how much it means.

I admit, at first I wasn't 100% sure, if you could be consistant all the time, given your weight loss target wasn't particuarly huge, but you certainly have proved what is inside your Heart, and what you'll give to make things happen, and yes I can say whole-heartedly, that I am proud to give you my support, and I always enjoy reading about how you do your thing.

I know yo have more than earned the right to feel amazing, and to use a phrase "feel every inch a woman", and I hope you keep giving 100%, keep smiling, and keep loving yourself like you're doing.

You are doing fantastically well, you really are, and I'm really happy for you.

You are an inspiration and a true star Angela. GOOD LUCK to you, and very best wishes with everything you're doing.

:-) :-).

I want pics of the new cut, and the energy to go get new clothes when you're done with. I'm being lazy about that too and I'm not sure why.

Your weights don't sound low to me at all. I do what your doing and try to bump up each time, and sometimes I just can't. Are you using a machine or smith/free weights? Can you add only 5 more pounds with either a dummy weight on the machines or 2 1/2 lb plates?

Laurie..actually i didn't even think of that! Yeah, i could put a little plate on there just to up it a little bit...thanks :)
